This policy applies to the Bracket iPhone application and this website. “Bracket,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer of Bracket.

1. Overview

Bracket is designed as a local-first tournament management app. Tournament content you create—such as tournament names, competitor or team names, scores, venues, dates, and notes—is intended to remain on your device unless you choose to share or export it.

Bracket does not use an advertising identifier and does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising.

2. Data we handle

Content you create

The app may store tournament information on your device, including names, formats, participants, scores, schedules, standings, venues, dates, and related tournament settings. This content is used to provide the features you request.

Support communications

If you email support, we receive the information you choose to include, such as your email address, message, and any attachments. We use it to respond to your request and maintain reasonable support records.

Website information

This website is a static site. Bracket does not intentionally embed advertising trackers or third-party analytics scripts on these pages. Your hosting provider may process ordinary network information needed to deliver the website, such as request metadata and security logs, under its own terms.

3. App analytics

Bracket may send limited first-party product analytics to Factory Analytics to understand app reliability, onboarding completion, purchase outcomes, and feature usage.

Analytics may include app opens and session starts, onboarding screens viewed or completed, selected competition type, sport and tournament format, paywall or purchase outcomes, plan cadence, feature identifiers such as tournament creation or PDF export, and the screen you navigate to.

Analytics are associated with a random analytics-only installation identifier stored on the device. Country may be derived server-side from a request. Bracket is designed so coordinates and IP addresses are not stored as analytics profile data.

Bracket does not send tournament names, competitor or team names, scores, venues, dates, share links, or other content you type to product analytics.

4. Purchases and subscriptions

If you buy a subscription, payment is processed by Apple through the App Store. Apple processes transaction and account information according to Apple’s privacy practices. Bracket may receive purchase status, product or plan identifiers, entitlement state, and transaction-related information needed to unlock paid features, restore purchases, prevent fraud, and provide support.

Bracket may use subscription or paywall service providers to support entitlement and purchase flows. Those providers process only the information necessary for those services under their own privacy terms and our configuration.

5. Sharing, QR codes, and exports

Bracket can create share links, QR codes, bracket images, and PDF exports. When you choose to share an item, the information contained in that item is disclosed to the people, apps, or services you select. Review an export before sharing it if your tournament includes personal information.

Some public or real-time sharing features may require a hosted service in future versions. If those features materially change how tournament data is processed, this policy will be updated before or when they are introduced.

6. Retention and security

Local tournament content remains on your device until you delete it, clear app data, or remove the app, subject to device backups you control. Analytics and support records are retained only as reasonably necessary for product operation, troubleshooting, security, legal obligations, and business records.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but reasonable technical and organizational measures are used to protect information handled by Bracket.

7. Your choices

You can delete tournament content within the app where deletion controls are available. You can manage or cancel App Store subscriptions through your Apple account settings. You may also contact us to ask a privacy question or request access to, correction of, or deletion of support or other information we can reasonably identify as relating to you, subject to applicable law and legitimate retention requirements.

8. Children

Bracket is a general-audience tournament utility and is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us through support or another hosted service, contact us so we can review the request.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as Bracket changes. The updated policy will be posted here with a revised “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be communicated in the app when appropriate.
